Tropical can have a clean modern Hawaiian look and offer a little bit of retro without being tiki. This inspired room also has an Asian ambiance. The chandelier shown here is painted in reverse—this is my specialty. Within the glass I’ve painted the lush tropical flowers of Hawaii. Tropical birds are incorporated into the the piece. The color theme is inspired by sunsets from Hawaii.
The Hawaiian chandelier that you see here was painted custom for clients in Northern California. The glass bowl is 33 inches in diameter—this is a larger chandelier designed to make a big statement.
Tall modern Hawaiian tropical flower paintings give the room a striking focal point. The colors of these lush paintings worked well with the tropical reverse hand painted chandelier.
Setting the scene are the retro herringbone floors that contrast with the minimal baseboard and simple Japanese style windows. The avocado green vases compliment the broad green leaves in my tall tropical modern Hawaiian flower paintings.
