Commissions 2016-11-14T11:40:08+00:00

artist Jenny Floravita creates reverse hand painted glass chandeliersOver half of my work each year is composed of commissioned reverse painted glass chandeliers and commissioned paintings in both oil and watercolor. I am happy to do them if I feel like I am the correct artist for your vision.

There are many reasons to consider a commission. The process is simple and I fell that I have mastered the art of the commission. Before I devoted myself to fine art I was a graphic designer and this laid an excellent foundation for commission work. I listen carefully to my collectors. Here are some kind words that came from one of my recent large commissions:

Thank you for making our new chandelier so special. You really are so talented and listened to what we wanted. I wish I could have one of your pieces in every room!

I do not solicit words like this from my collectors but I do make sure that I work hard for them to create their vision.

A commission starts with a consultation over the phone, email or in person at your home if you withing driving distance. We talk about size, colors, specific elements. Most collectors can point to sections of other chandeliers that I have created as a starting point. I will give you a full proposal that includes the cost, time frame, details, etc… I do require a deposit to start the commissioned piece and I stay in good communication with you through out the entire process until you receive your piece.

If you are interested in an oil or watercolor painting the process is the same. Feel free to email or call me. I’ve done well over one hundred commissions in the past few years!

Lastly, here is a blog post that talks about when a commission isn’t right for either Artist or Collector—some good guidelines.
