24″ Hand Painted Chandelier by artist Jenny Floravita—is installation ready.

Sandhill Crane and Wildflower Moon is a commissioned hand painted chandelier. This is one of two chandeliers for this client. I’m very lucky that really beautiful photographs of the local marshes and regional wildflowers were provided for these commissions. Also included were some beautiful pictures of sandhill cranes. We had decided that this piece would have daytime colors and that the second piece would have evening and sunset colors. These hand painted chandeliers will go over a 16′ dining table that will be the gathering place for the entire family on Sunday.

Years ago, maybe around summer of 2008 I was commissioned by an interior designer to create a series of hand painted chandeliers similar to this one only they were in the jumbo sizes. When I was contacted by this client and she described what she liked about my work and then mentioned the sandhill cranes and the marshes I had an immediate vision on how I would paint these two chandeliers.

All of my hand painted glass chandeliers are hand crafted and hand painted by me, Jenny Floravita. All of my chandeliers are originals. None of my chandeliers are painted by studio artists. The only reason I mention this is because most glass art studios involve many people in the art form especially in glass blowing studios or studios that create stained glass lamps. The reverse painted lamps from the earlier part of the last century were done in studios that involved many artists…but my hand painted glass chandeliers are all created here by me—my studio is very boutique. Each piece has a lot of time and skill. I’ve been a professional artist for over two decades and fine art is my college degree.

Commissions can take a bit of time for me to complete as a tremendous amount of work and thought goes into all of my hand painted chandeliers and I am always busy. It’s never possible to duplicate my original chandelier concepts but I do work hard to capture sections that inspire my collectors. I wanted to share this painted chandelier with you because it turned out so stunningly. 

The hand forged fixture style that you see here is my Contemporary Swirl style.

My hand painted chandeliers are exquisite works of art and are heirloom quality. My painted glass chandeliers will hang in fine homes for generations to come.
