2025 was the fastest year of my life — and one of the most transformative years I’ve ever had as an artist.
At the start of the year, I quietly launched a completely new art form: live edge olive wood fine art surfboards. And yes… I know that’s a mouthful.
I went all in. New tools. New skills. New mistakes. And a steep learning curve that pushed me physically, mentally, and creatively.
I took this work straight to art festivals to see how people would respond — and it worked. I found new collectors, had one of my best San Francisco Bay Area shows ever, and then immediately had to figure out how to make more work… fast.
This new body of work was built on years of epoxy experience, but combining it with wood took everything to a new level. It re-energized me in a way I didn’t even realize I needed.
While launching this new work, I was also creating my signature reverse painted glass chandeliers, painting commissions, filming videos, and doing life with my family.
It was an amazing year. And a tough one.
2025 was a year of transformation.
And for 2026, my word is connection.
