Coconut Coast Daybreak in Kauai is a beautiful 28×22 inch original watercolor. Expressive movement is quietly conveyed in this early morning Kauai painting. I love how watercolor has a very fluid expression. I love moving water and color on paper with my brushes and Kauai is one of my favorite subjects to paint.
The East Side of Kauai has some of the most beautiful sunrises in the Hawaiian Islands. When you walk on the beach in the early morning hours, the sky goes from a moody dark blue to the most beautiful shades of cool blue and violet colors. The mountain ranges are misty and the ocean rolls gently and endlessly onto the cool sandy beach beneath your feet. This beautiful little cove is protected and feels safe. Early morning beach walks on Kauai are my favorite part of experiencing Kauai and that is what I try to express in my oil and watercolor paintings of Kauai.
