Chandelier FAQ

How do I order a reverse painted glass chandelier?

Call my studio: 925-625-7969
Text my Cell: 1-925-565-8063

 or email:  jenny@floravita.com  or   jennyfloravita@yahoo.com

Ordering is a simple process. Contact me (see above). If the chandelier that speaks to your heart is available, I will complete and iron fixture for you based off your ceiling height and installation location—we will discuss this over phone, email or text. A timeframe to pack  will be scheduled for your chandelier. We pack in custom molded foam here in the studio. It’s a two person job so I need my husband to be available for that. We usually pack in the evenings. Once packed, I check boxes into UPS for pick-up or a Freight if we built a crate. Large glass always ships Crate & Freight.

If the chandelier design that you love is Sold, then I will paint a similar piece for you. We can discuss realistic timeframes over phone, text or email.

Payment is: via check, Zelle, Paypal or any major credit card. I LOVE and prefer checks because (no merchant fees) and that helps me to keep my prices lower overall. When you call you will speak directly to me.

How long does it take to receive?

It depends on a few factors. A conservative answer is 4-8 weeks to receive. If you require a chandelier asap, let me know as I might be able to more your piece to the top of my list. With custom painted works of art, I frequently check-in with clients to give a status update. Keep in mind that this is a high-end art form and not a mass produced item so time is required for good work. One very good thing about working with me is that I’m always available to talk via phone or email even when I’m traveling.

Do you ship?

Yes. All of my art is professionally packed in-studio. Glass is packed in custom molded foam. I personally guarantee my art and lighting during the shipping process. Zero risk to you. Large chandeliers are Crate and Freight. Tracking numbers will be provided.

Do you create custom painted chandeliers?

Yes, I create a lot of custom painted chandeliers. If you look through my collection on my Chandeliers for Sale you will get a good idea for my style. Colors are up to you! We work together to create a bespoke light that expresses your style. I create a proposal for you that explains your idea in words and photos.

How bright are the chandeliers?

The chandeliers are painted and ambient in nature but they do give off beautiful upbeat light that is very functional for dining room lighting and entry way lighting. Fixtures are wired for 4 LED bulbs. I provide Complementary LEDs. I’ve had collectors install chandeliers in every type of room but the two most common areas are foyers and dining rooms as the lighting is perfect for these spaces. It’s good to note that any room will ideally need multiple types of light sources to create ambiance to suit different situations. This is referred to as layered lighting.

Are LED bulbs dimmable?

Yes. And you can adjust the color of the light (which is referred to as temperature).

Can we have our irons in a different color?

Yes, if you want. We should talk about what you are looking for in a fixture color.

I have a short ceiling, do you have an iron for this?

Yes, I have a semi-flush ceiling mount version for my chandeliers in multiple heights. I have solutions for most short ceilings even if you’d like to hang a large chandelier. You can read specs for fixture styles here.

Are the chandeliers easy to install?

Yes, they are easy and I recommend you use a licensed electrician. An electrician will make sure that you have a box in the ceiling that will support the weight of a chandelier. Many newer homes already have adequate support. If you had a ceiling fan or heavy chandelier in the intended place then you’re probably fine. My standard 24 inch glass diameter size chandelier weighs 25lbs -30lbs with 36 inch chandelier weighing 50lbs. I will provide you with a ceiling canopy and chain that is rated to support the weight of the piece that you purchase. If you are installing a chandelier where you do not have electrical then your licensed electrician can run wire for you.

How do I move my chandelier to a new home?

Please call me if you have questions: 925-625-7969. I can best suggest how to wrap and transport based on your circumstance. You will  want to supervise when your chandelier is being taken down to ensure that parts are not lost. I can forward the instruction sheets that you originally received with your chandelier which lists the parts. Moving is hectic, things happen. If you can transport your fine chandelier in your car that is recommended.

Moving to a new home at a future date?

Ask your electrician to leave some extra wiring, neatly wrapped up inside the box in the ceiling. This will stop them from cutting your wire short.

This beautiful and helpful guide offers many tips to choose a chandelier that truly fits your space and expresses your unique style.
