This second, similar Waimea Plantation Cottage painting was created in preparation for a big commissioned oil painting. My color palate was warm and my brush strokes were bold and free. The blue sugar cottage is a constant theme in my plantation cottage series. Though this piece was 24″x36″ it was dwarfed by the size of the 48″x72″ commission that was created from this piece.
