Kauai Seascape Painting Fills Your Home with Happiness

In my last blog post I share the painting process and techniques behind my newest Hawaiian Island oil painting, titled Summer Breeze at Tunnels Beach. Today I want to show you the beauty of this painting in a room. I want to focus less on the techniques that went into creating this large oil painting and more on what inspired me to create this beautiful large oil painting.

Tunnels Beach in Kauai inspired this painting. I wanted to capture how dramatic and dynamic the mounts are that make this beach so unique. If you have been to Kauai and spent time on the North Shore and in Hanalei or Princeville, you would probably recognize this scene. The beach here is so peaceful. The ocean is so clear and gorgeous.

Palm fronds swaying in the wind create a lovely sound—it’s really just the perfect beach to spend an afternoon.

The truth is that not everybody can live on this beautiful beach. The island of Kauai is small…but you can experience the essence of this special place with this large original oil painting…or as a paper giclee print or a larger canvas giclee print in a different size.
