Green Kona House

Little Green Beach House in Kona, Hawaii is a 12×9 inch watercolor by internationally collected watercolor artist Jenny Floravita

Love this new little Kona, Hawaii watercolor! Little Green Kona Beach House has a lot of memories for a lot of people, I’m sure! It’s kind of iconic to the area. If you’ve been there you’ve probably driven right by this little gem often. It’s by a beautiful little beach side church. It’s just this small little Hawaiian beach shack perched perilously close to the crashing surf…that is, when there are storms.

Very laid back and very relaxing. The Kona side of Hawaii is very sunny and much drier than the Hilo side (where we spend most of our time) but I do love Kona for it’s own special characteristics.

This new piece is a watercolor measuring  12×9 inches and is on Arches paper. I actually painted it when we were in Hawaii last and this piece took a very long time to complete for some reason. It has a lot of detail for the size.

The lava rock wall and the way the mortar has a soft violet hue—to me, this has always represented Kona. I’ve traveled a lot through the island but I see these particular colors on this side of Hawaii.

A hammock awaits you—it’s true paradise! I’m really proud of this little painting, it’s a very well done watercolor and it beautifully expresses Hawaii. I would like to sell this piece for 200 plus FREE shipping so if you are interested, let me know. I will also list it in a few days on my SHOP area, when it’s live.
